A little rant against a general malaise
Let me clear my throat and get this off my chest.
I understand that our blogs are our space where we can rant, bitch, moan, complain, kick around and basically figure out what's going on in our lovely little lives. Thing is, I read a lot of them and there's a general sense of inconformity. Inconformity is good. At lesat, it keeps me sharp and a little ambition is not bad at all.
Thing is, I don't know, maybe I just got to the point that if your present situation is so bad, why not work to change it? I mean yes we are entitled to vent against whatever is making us feel bad or plain old miserable, but for fuck's sake do two things.
Take a look around you. You might find out that there are people in a worst position that you are. Be grateful for what you have and what you accomplished so far.
Now if after taking stock of your situation you still feel miserable, I'd suggest you sit down, think hard and plan for change.
You hate your job? Make a resume and prepare for a long set of interviews, rejections, whatever until you find a job that is right and challenging for you.
You hate the fact that you're alone? Go out, have fun, live a little. Prince of Princess Charming will arrive in due time, but meanwhile have fun, enjoy life in the company of friends, develop an active social life and maybe you'll get some worthy company. Don't settle for less. Eventually you'll run into someone that will make the wait worth your while. Yes some of us have our little quirks, neuroses and things that separates us from the others, but hey if I can get a lovely woman like the one I'm currently with, I'm sure you can get someone who will love, understand and accept the way you are.
What I also noticed is that while people are dreading their current situation they are afraid of change. Well, there are three constants in life: death, change and taxes. Eventually you will have to deal with the tree of them. No matter how you try to isolate yourself from them, they will come. So I think it's better to brace for them and accept them.
To make this rant short, if you feel you are stuck in a rut, then work for change.

Feliz o algo
Bueno hoy me ahorre la larga espera por el tecnico porque el muchacho llamo a las 7 am de que estaba en camino a la Maison Popu. Problema resuelto como a las 8 y chachacha de camino al trabajo despues de cambiar mi cheque y darle el dinero a mi vieja. Despues salir al trabajo y servir de tecnico no oficial de computadoras de la estacion. Anyway estoy bien feliz porque a LS hizo la lista del decano de su facultad. YAY! LS hemos estado hablando de varias situaciones y tirando varias ideas al aire. Bien interesante. Tambien debo empezar a trabajar en mi musica. Anyway, ajetreo usual. :D
Sobreviviendo Duran Duran
Duran Duran empezo su gira mundial anoche en el Choliseo. Como novio bueno que soy, intercambie taquillas con el pon de LS y el se fue al club seat mientras que yo estuve abajo con los mortales. Lo mejor de todo es que como el concierto no estaba TAAAAAAAAAAAAN lleno como buenos macondianos nos movimos a unos asientos que estaban mas cerca de la tarima y vacios. Wheeeeeeeeeeee!
Ah! Antes por poco se forma el lio de los pastores pero Angelito y mi conocimiento del area metro nos salvamos de llegar tarde. Si los nenes entraron a tocar a una hora mas tarde de que abrieran el lugar a las 8:00. Si no fueran ingleses, les diria que ya a su cuarta visita a Macondo se le estan pegando las malas man~as de los animalitos sandungueros locales.
Anyway, los nenes arrancaron su set y por casi dos horas nos mantuvieron entretenidos con los exitos, varias canciones nuevas y pues varias sorpresas viejas y oscuras como ¨Hold Back The Rain¨ y ¨Careless Memories¨. Ademas de los originales estaba una corista que le estaba metiendo full a la garganta y Andy Hamilton en el saxo. Faltaba Rafael de Jesus en la percusion y eso pareceria un show de ellos en su apogeo ochentero.
Si. Andy Taylor estaba gordito y se veia que se habia dado la mala vida pero puej, todavia le somatia al guitarrorismo. Nick Rhodes todavia quiere imitar el look de David Sylvian pero ahi tenia par de cosas interesantes en su arsenal. John Taylor parecia que habia recientemente renovado su contrato con Satanas porque era el mejor que se veia de todos. Roger Taylor pues workmanklike ahi metiendole a lo de el. Simon Le Bon sigue siendo el payaso de siempre. Pero, que carajos era el primer show de la gira asi que con el tiempo mejoraran varios aspectos. El sonido al principio como que fallaba en la guitarra y el saxo pero luego lo pudieron arreglar.
Lightshadow y yo estabamos brincando y gozando de lo lindo. Hey, al menos estabamos escuchando ochenteria original, no imitaciones baratas como los chikos lokos y radikales de ahora. O algo. De por si, habia de todo ahi. Adictos al Rogaine, Milfas, Punkis, Glameros, DJs, Club Kids y mucho publico adulto. Shit, hasta una pareja ahi trajo al fucking bebe para ver a Duran Duran y yo como WTF? Ese cabron bebe va a salir sordo de ahi. Pero puej, problema de ellos.
Como es la primera vez que fui al Choliseo pues me asombre al ver el parking en un lugar a $10 y la madre de alguien pagara eso porque yo no. Mejor fuimos al de $6. Los precios de las concesiones no me jodieron tanto pues la vida entre aeropuertos y lugares de conciertos y eventos alla afuera me acostumbro a esos precios.
Anyway, fue super fucking cool. Angelito se lo gozo, se lo gozo el pon de Lightshadow pa los concerts que se llama Jesus y es un trip, LS estaba brincando y yo tambien. Woopty Fucking Doo!
Bueno ahora a aguantar hasta el 12 para ver a mi querida novia en Machaguej. O algo.

Esta noche toca Duran Duran en el Choliseo. El Angelito, Pepe y varias personas mas van para alla y sera un rumbon bueno. Mi novia compro sus taquillas por su lado mucho antes de que empezaramos a salir y pues yo consegui mejores asientos via Angelito. Como soy un tipo bien bueno lo mas seguro le cambie mi taquilla a la persona que le va a dar pon a mi querida noviecita para estar junto a ella en el concert.

Sabes que tu dia va a ser malito cuando lo primero que vez cuando te despiertas es la luz del cable modem dando problemas. Reseteas el modem y el multipuerto por aquello de cubrir las bases y nada. Esperar de 11 am a 1 pm para que venga el tecnico a chequear que paso. El tecnico viene y descubre que los vagonetas que hicieron la instalacion la hicieron mal y hay que hacerla de nuevo. From scratch. El miercoles. Woe is me. O algo.
Llegue al trabajo y es Troya. Fucking hell. Todavia no salgo de aqui pero pues. Se supone que vaya a casa de Cheo para instalar su cable modem y su tarjeta wireless a su PC. Man~ana Duran Duran viene y Angelito tiene una taquilla extra disponible. Anyone with a spare $85? Anyway should be a blast y vere a mi novia por alla. Pero la venganza nuestra sera el sabado.
CIRCO tira disco nuevo el jueves y en verdad no se si deba tirarme esa mision. Digo, se que estara cool y habra muchos bohemios y bohemias de carton que debe hacer la cosa mas entretenida, pero el plan es pasar el sabado con ELLA. Si. Estoy enamorado. Que lindo, no? Prueba fehaciente de que detras del sarcasmo e ironia recalcitrante que pululo hay alguien que con la persona indicada se enamora. Y to'.
Anyway, um, no veo la hora que salga de aqui. Pero puej, el karma esta cabron porque hoy mi amorcito esta en cierre de su publicacion asi que ambos estamos en las mismas. A ver si me pongo al dia con "24".

It might be for a few short hours, but every second I spend with my girlfriend is very precious. And today was no exception. Intense, passionate and very beautiful. I love to discover this aspect of you. You get me hungry for more. Hopefully, I will see her on Tuesday at the Duran Duran concert and hopefully this weekend I'll make it to Mayageuez to see her.

A month ago.........
We were two lost souls who knew each other by reputation and our cybernetic antics. We never suspected that a simple movie date would turn out to be the beginning of something beautiful. The movie was forgotten as soon as we had lunch and the conversation was more interesting than to see Oliver Stone's latest. We did see a movie, that somehow surprised the hell out of us. Then we decided to take a little walk together. The day was over and we didn't want it to end, so we decided not to say "goodbye". We settled with "later".
I think the best part was that we were suprised to find out that we were gonna go to the same place later, and the original plan was to tell her about what I was started to feel for her then and there. Well, imagine my surprise that a couple of days later, I found out that she had the same feelings for me. Classic. Next thing we knew we met at the Giratorio, had that first kiss and the world changed.
Since then, no more drama, no more sorrow, no more unrequited feelings, no more ghosts of past relationships haunting me, no more solitude, no more loneliness. I feel alive and well and very much in love with her. I feel loved. I feel complete. I feel like this hole that was in my heart is now full of something warm, something good.
I look forward to a future with her. I have two years to get my shit together. It will be a lot of work, but it is worth it. Not only for us, but for myself. I think I've spent too much time mourning and in nihilist mode. TIme to make something worthy. Something worth fighting for. Time to feel once again like I felt when I had the odds stacked against me but I managed through thick and thin. I made it before. I know I can do it once again. This time, it's not just for me. It's for the two of us.
Thanks LS. From the bottom of my heart. You brought life to this shell. For that, I will always be grateful. I want to return that favor. With interest.
