Mondays suck in such a deep psychic level. I mean I even dreamt that I was working at a job and someone left a really expensive bass but didn't claim it. I was debating whether to wait for a while and then take it home and sell it or just leave it there. I left my workplace and went to an apartment building to look out for a friend who wasn't living there. Then somehow I hook up with this guy at work who gives me a ride in a two wheel humvee. I know. It violates every law there is about physics but yeah we were riding on a two wheel humvee. We stopped at his place and he was blasting a mix he made of Queen tunes. I was wondering what the hell am I doing here when some neighbor decided to use his trimmer and that woke me up. Fucking hell........

3 AM and I'm awake listening to the rain and hearing the dumptrucks go around the city. There's an interview tomorrow and bills to be paid. I don't particularly look forward for this job because it's a part-time and I don't like doing telemarketing but something's got to be done in order to pay the bills. I'm looking for other jobs as well. Hopefully those will turn up. Aside from that, not much to do. Whatta boring life.

The fact that I *still* miss her makes life a tad more unpleasant to bear tonight. Yeah, I miss touch, warmth, caring, her stare, her eyes, her smile. Things that make me melt, feel human, feel wanted, feel love. Yeah, at the end of the day or during the day for that matter I miss all of those things. I miss so much of that. Sometimes it's painful. Like tonight. It just hurts.

Months ago, I confessed to an acquaintance that I finally understand why some people need drugs in their life. In their view they take away the pain and suffering and sheer boredom that life brings. No, I'm not planning to take that route. I'm too old, too jaded, seen to much to take that route knowingly. Like all sorts of pain, sometimes you just have to take it. Take the pain, bear it, make it yours. Sometimes enduring it brings out the best in you. Builds character. So I take it, I've been building my character for quite a while. Some days I manage to let go and carry on. Tonight I guess I can't.

I'll try to get back to bed, listen to the rain. I might even get some sleep before daylight sneaks in. Now leave me alone. Take care.

Last night the show went beautifully. 1st hour full of political music chosen by Pepe and Eze. Really cool and diverse. Second hour we had the privilege of DJ Santos on tha dex. A little of 47 minutes of the coolest dance music by my favorite DJ in Puerto Rico. Electro, electroclash, techno, etc. 19 songs in 47 minutes. Beautiful. Of course we recorded it live and it's amazing. Edited the intro and outro so I can concentrate on the music. Santos is the shiznit. Ignacio Pen~a on the last hour. Cool rawk. A great night in a great atmosphere with Eze, Pepe and Angelito. Fuck! I want Santos to play my birthday. That'd be nice.

Friday's evening pretty much sucked, but I managed to survive it. :)

It's good to know that our politicians are still at the beck and call of the RIAA and the MPAA. Somehow the article didn't mention the fact that Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) may have a conflict of interest in the matter, being that he has vested interestests in songwriting and publishing business. Of course, our lovely elected officials are in election year and will try to be harsh on P2P "offenders" without having a freaking clue of what's going on.

You are good. You might not like it but you are
good. You are the kind of person that other
people don't mind hanging around. You would do
anything to help one in need. You will do
anything for the people you care about. They
are number one in the world you live in. Good
for you. I bet you will have a nice and easy
life.

Are you Good or Evil
brought to you by Quizilla

You are in: The Lord of the Rings

"You stand between me and my lord and
kin. Begone, if you not be deathless! For
living or dark undead, I will smite you, if you
touch him.

"And then it seemed to him that as in his
dream in the house of Bombdil, the grey
rain-curtain turned all to silver glass and was
rolled back, and he beheld white shores and
beyond them a far green country under a swift
sunrise."

"His will was set. And only death would
break it."

Wow, brave, noble, and true, there just arent
people around like you anymore (if there ever
were in the first place). Be you a courageous
ranger turned king, a courageous elf prince, a
once simple but now courageous hobbit, a
courageous woman warrior, a courageous elf
princess who gave up her immortality for the
one you love, or a courageous wizard, guess
what...youre courageous (hard to figure out I
know). You live in a world where the lines of
good and evil are clear and distinct, and where
good will always win. While you prefer peace,
you will not hesitate to fight for your
friends, your country, or those you love. Of
course granted the world might be just a little
bit elitist with a rigid social. Even when
things seem darkest you will never give up, and
for that I must admire you. And hey where else
can you go on almost guaranteed suicide
missions and more than likely come out on top.
However dont expect everyone else to be living
in the same world as you, for this world is not
to everyones taste, because this isnt exactly
the most progressive or complex of places, and
some people actually like things like that.
But for you its perfect, and in the end, thats
all really matters.

I guess this is the part of my life when I write that I'm fed up with people and that love is nothing but people looking out for the most convenient partner, and that love is the other biggest con besides religion. Which, basically it's true. I mean yeah I care lots about the people I really care(d) about and I've felt true love in my lifetime a grand total of two times, but you don't see me married and living happily ever after with my missus, do you?

Yeah, I take responsibility for the fuckups I've done, unlike most people in this planet and I live with them. It's not easy, but I've done a good job so far living with the consequences of my actions. What really gets me upset it's the fact that people come to you with all this baggage and all this bullshit and you find out later that they are anything but the opposite of what they are. You call them up on it and most of them don't give a shit, the rest just blurt out a half assed apology as empty as their lies they said before. I mean can't people for once in their fucking miserable lives ever MEAN WHAT THEY SAY?????? I guess not. Then they wonder why I've become more and more cynical and less and less trusting with people. Maybe it's becasuse they actually deserve all my hostitily? all my hatred? all my coldness? Oh well. Anyway like I said to my ex last night: UNA MANDA PA'L CARAJO NO SE LE NIEGA A NADIE!

Funny enough there's still a tiny winy itsy bitsy part of my psyche that still holds on to the love con. Third time's the charm? I don't know. When she arrives and it's for real, I'll let you know.

Apart from that, trying to get a job and networking to see if someone can hook me up.

Enough ranting, piss off!

Dear Lord:

Please don't send me any more psychically and emotionally damaged girls who were left by theirformer boyfriends and somehow end up IMing me and trying to be my friends expecting me to pick their pieces and giving me drama, aggro and all sorts of negativity. They're a waste of air, time, and resources. Worse, they waste my valuable time and limited resources that are better spent dealing with other issues in my life. I believe this humble servant deserves a bit better than the cards he's been dealt with lately. I'm sick and tired of dealing with them

I only ask of you someone who's intelligent, kinda cute, knows her films, arts, music, someone smart, witty, fun to be with, relatively sane, wise, funny, with a healthy libido, and a sick sense of humor to boot. If I can somehow find that woman and that woman somehow manages to fall madly in love with me, I'll be a very happy camper. Thank you for your time.

Your Humble Servant,

Me

You *are* childish
because you don't have the maturity to face facts
You've shown your true colors. Pity.

So um, the weekend. Yeah.
Actuallly it wasn't bad at all. Thursday DJ gig lots of fun. Cooler than I expected. Placed packed. People dancing. People happy. Until 4am. Friday was OK although I don't remember what happened. Then again I wasn't under the influence of anything. I just can't remember. Ah! Yeah! The station. Teehee. Saturday the show went well even when I stumbled on a song but it was ok. Then Eze and I went into the Great Wide Open to watch Velcro and Cloud8 play and put their DJ skills to good use at Don Pablo, check out Santos at Oleo and watch fortysomething horny old guys hitting on twentysomething babes at Nuyorican to a Salsa beat. Afterwards we went to Denny's to bitch and moan about our lovely little lives. It was good. Sunday and Monday I pretty much behaved.

Some good music making in the scene of late. Getting inspired to program some of my own. Pretty pissed off at myself and my situation but struggling to work it out. Nelson playing this Thursday. Blood has a pretty new laptop. I like talking to her. Vero and I making fun of each other on IM. Mujer Satanica didn't believe I went to the SOFO eateries, but that's her problem. Today feels so much like Monday I just want to sleep it off. Carmelo introducing a movie tonight at Indymedia in Santa Rita in Rio Piedras so I'll make an appearance and meet an activist with my namesake.

BTW, let me put this in writing: I LOVE MAKING THE RADIO SHOW WITH THE GUYS.

So it seems by the early results from yesterday's election in Spain that Spain's fascist Partido Popular is out. Their refusal to heed the people's plead not to be involved in the war against Iraq back then (ninety percent of the Spanish opposed joining the US effort), their insistence to blame ETA for the March 11th bombing even when Al Qaeda claimed responsibility and their poor handling of the crisis afterwards, fucked them in the polls royally. They lost the election but it seems that the winning PSOE (Partido Socialista Obrero Espan~ol, the Spanish Socialist Worker's Party) will need to get into a coalition government. The Spanish troops are supposedly ready to leave Iraq by the 30th when the US supposedly hands over control of Iraq to the Iraquis. I don't think they will hand over control with recent developments though.

Still it was a lesson in democracy as the Spanish people refused to follow the Partido Popular's agenda on fear and influence. I hope this change will bring about something positive to Spain and it's people. They deserve something good after all this time.

Wake up to the following news:

1. Almost 200 people dead and thousands injured in a bombing in Spain. No one claims responsiblity, but they're already blaming ETA for the blast. What strikes me as very odd is that the typical ETA procedure is that they announce that the bomb is planted in advance and that typical ETA targets are government officials and/or government offices, not civilian targets. I'm not condoning ETA's actions or their brand of terrorism, I'm just indicating that this is not standard of their usual tactics. This bombing coming this close to the elections there also raises suspicion. Could it be right wing terrorism trying to get the fascist Partido Popular re-elected? I don't know. Let's see what happens.

2. Bassist Dave Blood of the Dead Milkmen killed himself last night. Blasting "Taking Retards To The Zoo", "Bitchin' Camaro" and "You'll Dance To Anything" full blast. Dave BLood is dead. Long live the Dead Milkmen.

Words Of Advice For Young People - William S. Burroughs

People often ask me if I have any words of advice for young people.
Well here are a few simple admonitions for young and old.
Never intefere in a boy-and-girl fight.
Beware of whores who say they don't want money.
The hell they don't.
What they mean is they want more money. Much more.
If you're doing business with a religious son-of-a-bitch,
Get it in writing.
His word isn't worth shit.
Not with the good lord telling him how to fuck you on the deal.

Avoid fuck-ups.
We all know the type.
Anything they have anything to do with,
No matter how good it sounds,
Turns into a disaster.
Do not offer sympathy to the mentally ill.
Tell them firmly:
I am not paid to listen to this drivel.
You are a terminal boob.

Now some of you may encounter the Devil's Bargain,
If you get that far.
Any old soul is worth saving,
At least to a priest,
But not every soul is worth buying.
So you can take the offer as a compliment.
He tries the easy ones first.
You know like money,
All the money there is.
But who wants to be the richest guy in some cemetary?
Money won't buy.
Not much left to spend it on, eh gramps?
Getting too old to cut the mustard.

Well time hits the hardest blows.
Especially below the belt.
How's a young body grab you?
Like three card monte, like pea under the shell,
Now you see it, now you don't.
Haven't you forgotten something, gramps?
In order to feel something,
You've got to be there.
You have to be eighteen.
You're not eighteen.
You are seventy-eight.
Old fool sold his soul for a strap-on.

Well they always try the easiest ones first.
How about an honorable bargain?
You always wanted to be a doctor,
Well now's your chance.
Why don't you become a great healer
And benefit humanity?
What's wrong with that?
Just about everything.
Just about everything.
There are no honorable bargains
Involving exchange
Of qualitative merchandise
Like souls
For quantitative merchandise
Like time and money.
So piss off Satan
And don't take me for dumber than I look.

An old junk pusher told me -
Watch whose money you pick up

dreamland. in this bar, it's raining and cold outside, yet i'm in this bar, all seems to be sort of blurry. the bar lit by oil lamps and candles. everyone there pale, dressed in black, dark colours, dyed black hair and lipstick everywhere. england by the accents, but nowhere i've been before. here i am drinking some brandy to keep the cold away. some music playing in the background, kind of backwards, trip hoppy. people talking in small crowds. i am talking to myself, the barkeep and some girl that's sitting and drinking next to me. attempts at conversation are done but the girl and i know that words are on the way. all the flesh and all it wants. we kiss for a while. i start to caress her thighs and we stop. too fast, too soon and seems i fucked up there. awkward conversation. she leaves. i'm alone. cold. the barkeep is an asian (hindu) woman. we exchange pleasantries. so fucking cold. i wake up with that chill on my bones and a deep sense of longing.

i missed circo's gig last night. i could've made an effort but sadly it was tuesday and i didn't find no one to go with. today i pay the bills and i'm stuck with $10. i need a fucking job. thursday lazer and friday icaro azul at el teatro. wheeeeeee!

Ok so basically it *seems* that the 30 gig hd i bought for ze laptop has expired. I'm going to try another approach later today to see if I can bring it back from the dead. Meanwhile I thanked God that I kept my old 10 gig hd that came with ze laptop and it was a matter of installing it, partition it so I can have both Windows XP and Knoppix installed. Yes, space is very tight and precious on this one, I'm afraid, but it does the job while I deal and scheme to get another hd in case I cannot resurrect the 30 gig one. At least I had a replacement handy. Woot!

This year's Oscars were a worthy bunch. Peter Jackson finally got his props, Sofia Coppola got hers for "Lost In Translation", Sean Penn and Tim Robbins got theirs for "Mystic River" and I have to see "Monster" to check out Charlize Theron, but I'm sure she did well. Renee Zellweiger did a good job on "Cold Mountain", so this years winners were well deserved. Too bad "21 Grams" nor "Big Fish" got any, but they were very well made films.

In other news I woke up this morning, go to ze laptop, log on and not even five minutes on it and somehow due to a) some outside interference or b) i really did fuck something up while getting my encryption keys for a server I managed to wipe ze laptop's hard drive clean. Just like that. I'm working on it while I'm typing this from another PC. Fucking hell, mate. Thank God for backups. Still.
